I've been thinking about Kepler and Newton. It seems evident historically that Kepler came first with his laws of planetary motion. If I had been aware of his work I would have worked on trying to figure out why. I am currently thinking that it is not unlikely that Kepler was more instrumental in Newton's theories than he is given credit for - I think that the concepts of Force and the derivation of calculus by Newton may have been as a result of Newton's curiosity to explain Kepler's laws. If I had been as intuitive and as smart as Newton it would have driven me in that direction. Comments? So the minimization of Kepler's work as it relates to Newton's may have begun even during Newton's lifetime.
